We live right at the centre of the worlds we create. Our minds experience the tugs, nudges, pushes, and pulls of our desires and expectations, as too the noise of all that we have built around ourselves. More, habits control our responses, and often we’re experienced as being out of line with people as much as being out of context. Our inability to control our behaviour rests heavy on people and upon ourselves. Processes run businesses, and protocols run relationships. Place the perpetually present egoistic “i” in there, and the very word spells ruin. This is the human element of life, and happens with the most talented of people.

Awareness of how we are impacted by our own habits, people, and events, and managing ourselves and our resultant behaviour in the midst of it all speaks to our mastery of our selves. 

We’re also touched by people, both individuals and groups. Understanding and being able to work with and through others speaks to our leadership abilities. 

In all this, Self-Mastery is prime. You and I can, even must, serve ourselves and thereby our worlds better by awakening and working with our multiple inner intelligences. Leadership of people and enterprise, external accruals, recognition, economic shifts; these are all merely by-products of Self-Mastery.

I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from a vast array of people. Entrepreneurs and leaders serving State, communities, and the market, across infrastructure (aviation, oil, gas and energy, transportation, real estate) and manufacturing; services (including hospitality, retail, consulting, media; healthcare); IT & ITES; BFSI; FMCG, and NFPs; all form the “management” group, as it were. And I’ve worked with shop-floor technicians, assemblers, loaders, electricians, fishermen and women, medical personnel, and so very many more “working class” and “ground personnel” people in group conversations focussed around inner mastery. And I’ve been humbled there too.
